PrinterOn Adds Google Map Views to PrintSpots Directory
ORLANDO, FLA, June 22, 2010 – PrinterOn® is pleased to announce that users can now view PrintSpots® locations on Google Maps. This allows the user to see the actual location of the PrintSpot which will enable them to find the closest location.
Locations with available maps will be marked in the PrintSpots directory with a "map pin" graphic. When the graphic is clicked, a Google Map will appear showing them the location of that specific PrintSpot.
This initial release of Google Map views will retrieve GPS coordinates for existing PrintSpot locations and enable PrintSpot administrators to specify specific GPS coordinates for their PrintSpot. More locations will be geo code-enabled in the future.
“The addition of Google Maps to PrintSpots locations is part of the overall initiative to bring a full and complete experience to the user of the PrinterOn mobile printing solution." said Ken Noreikis, Vice President Sales & Marketing, PrinterOn Corporation. “In April, HP ePrint Enterprise1 mobile printing solution, based on HP CloudPrint technology, was introduced to make printing on the go a reality and to find the nearest PrintSpot location from a GPS-enabled BlackBerry® Smartphone. Today’s Google maps integration further enhance the user’s experience by automatically populating printers based on proximity.”
