Heartbleed Bug Update

Since its inception, PrinterOn has made security a priority. With the disclosure of the “Heartbleed bug” PrinterOn immediately took action to review and assess its impact on PrinterOn, our customers and users. PrinterOn’s key web services do not incorporate the identified vulnerable software and were not affected.

In addition, PrinterOn’s on-premise solutions, such as PrinterOn Enterprise, do not by default use or install technology affected by this issue and no additional steps are required. Customers who have independently configured or modified PrinterOn’s default configuration to link to the APR library, can monitor updates and status from the Tomcat and OpenSSL community.

PrinterOn proactively monitors key web services with trusted 3rd party services to ensure that our platform is up to date and that PrinterOn is aware of potential issues. PrinterOn will continue this practice of proactively monitoring and react to any potential threats.
