PrinterOn has announced that it has joined the Cisco Developer Network as a Solution Developer within the Unified Communications technology category. In addition, PrinterOn’s Mobile Printing App 1.0.1 has successfully completed interoperability testing1 with Cisco Cius.

The PrinterOn Mobile Printing App for the Cisco Cius tablet allows you to print from anywhere to your home2, office or public printer from a single mobile application. Search for and print to thousands of printers within the PrinterOn network of print locations using GPS or search by keyword. Public print locations include hotels, airports, libraries, universities and more. With the PrinterOn App, you can print almost any type of document such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF files as well as photos and web pages. After submitting documents for printing, a secure release code will be emailed back that is entered on the keypad at the printer ensuring document security and privacy.

The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers. As a Solution Developer, PrinterOn shares Cisco’s strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction, has completed interoperability verification testing based on  criteria set forth by Cisco, and can provide their customers 24 hour, 7 days a week customer support. With offerings such as the PrinterOn Mobile Printing App, customers can more quickly deploy a broad range of Cisco Compatible business applications, devices, or services that can enhance the capabilities, performance, and management of their Cisco network.

1 Interoperability testing is designed to simulate typical customer configurations, and does not replace the need for on-site testing in conjunction with actual implementation.
